DeKalb County Catholic
A local lenten podcast.
The first fruits of The Tilma.
The energy and unity of our three pastors: Fr. Brian, Fr. Drew, and Fr. Thomas is not only a gift, but a beautifully contagious grace to all of us. Since we don't usually get to see all three of these priests together in person, a few of us here in DeKalb County decided to put in the effort to plan and produce this podcast. Not only will it assist us on our Lenten journey, providing many insights and rich value, but all the more it will give all of us the opportunity to peak into their friendship and take in the life giving brotherhood that these three priests share.

About the Podcast
As we enter into the annual season of Lent, we have a great opportunity for joy, growth, and reorientation to our Lord before us. But, as we have experienced, it's easy to let the gift of this season just pass us by without anything more than ashes and a few meatless meals.
Our three pastors: Fr. Brian Isenbarger of St. Joseph's in Garrett, Fr. Drew Curry of Immaculate Conception Church in Auburn, and Fr. Thomas Zehr of St. Michael's in Waterloo assist us in opening our eyes to the deeper mysteries of the season with this eight part podcast series. Through their lively discussion, personal witnesses, practical explanations, and healthy doses of humor, this lent is sure to be one that will not just pass, but dispose us to new graces that will bring us freedom beyond what we've known before. And joys that we can retain through the rest of the year.
It's not only time to enter into Lent, it's time to dispose ourselves to receive the abundant graces awaiting us in this sacred season. Welcome to DeKalb County Catholic, your audio guide through Lent 2026.
